Charles Cole, M.D.

Ophthalmologist Midtown East | Dr. Charles Cole, M.D. Dr. Charles Cole specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, cataract and refractive errors. He is especially knowledgeable in laser and surgical procedures for the treatment of open angle glaucoma, narrow angle glaucoma, secondary glaucoma and cataracts.

Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology with over ten years of experience, Dr. Cole provides patients with state-of-the-art eye care at his practice in New York, where he has seen patients since 2003. In addition to his practice duties, Dr. Cole also serves as Director of the Glaucoma Service at New York Hospital Queens and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Weill Cornell Medical College.

Dr. Cole graduated with his medical degree from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, followed by an internship at the Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. He then completed a residency in Ophthalmology at Mt. Sinai/NYU Medical Center, and further specialized his training through a Glaucoma fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College.

Actively involved in the field of ophthalmology, Dr. Cole is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a member of the New York State Ophthalmologic Society and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. He also holds attending privileges at New York Presbyterian Hospital, New York Hospital Queens and New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. Additionally, Dr. Cole currently plays a major role in the surgical training of the next generation of surgeons at Cornell.



Jane Lee, M.D.

Ophthalmologist Midtown East | Dr. Jane Lee, M.D.Dr. Jane Lee’s areas of expertise encompass advanced cataract surgery, diseases and surgeries of the cornea, including corneal transplants and DSAEK. She also specializes in dry eye conditions, corneal infections, corneal dystrophies, keratoconus, contact lens wear problems and cataracts

Dr. Lee is a board-certified ophthalmologist with over ten years of experience providing patients with superior eye care. She has practiced at Eye Surgeon, PC since 2006, and is affiliated with New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.

Dr. Lee graduated with her medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania after earning an undergraduate degree with honors from Stanford University. She then completed an internship in Internal Medicine in Philadelphia followed by residency training in Ophthalmology at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College, serving as Chief Resident during her final year. Dr. Lee also completed a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease and Anterior Segment at the New England Eye Center-Tufts Medical Center.

In addition to her practice experience, Dr. Lee is also actively involved in the medical community. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the New York State Ophthalmological Society, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and The Cornea Society.

Her work regarding advances in eye care treatments has been published in several leading medical journals and presented at major ophthalmologic meetings.
